2008 begins with...

..worship.

i'd say 2007 ended with Ja-Plan, while 2008 kicked off on 6 jan for me when i visited LWMC. Feels so good to be with friends again, even better in the presence of God. I realised I havn't been to church since coming back to Malaysia, and that was a well-timed visit to LWMC.

Pastor Kenneth's sermon was about the direction LWMC should take as a congregation in 2008. well, not everything applies to me, but there were certain points that I think I can keep to as a guide for this coming year, especially in growing into a deeper relationship with God

1. Do things that pleases God
2. Do NOT do things that DOES NOT please God

He also mentioned that being Christians, we have to strive to be in favour with God and in favour with man at the same time. Maintaining good relationships with man is important, because we are a living testimony of God. But FIRST, be in favour with God, and everything else will fall into place according to His plan.

I've came up with resolutions for the past 3 years, of which I only achieve 50% success rate. I think I should do half-yearly resolutions instead of annual ones, probably a better way to keep check on my progress.

Targets for Jan-June 2008
1. Go gym regularly. Maintain healthy body weight.
2. Be a good SR. and friend.
3. Max 1 week lag for reading up on lecture notes. and try tutorials before tutes even for stats.
4. Learn how to cycle
5. Continue my service in the music team no matter what.
(optional: run Inward Bound...hopefully will be fit enough in time for run)

Can I achieve these? 3 governing principles and 5 targets. Gambatte ne!

can i achieve it?
